Position Summary

We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Housekeeper to join our team on a PRN basis.

This role is essential to maintaining a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents, visitors, and staff.

The ideal candidate takes pride in creating a welcoming atmosphere and understands the importance of cleanliness in a healthcare setting.
Essential Duties


* Clean and maintain resident rooms, bathrooms, hallways, and common areas


* Clean public spaces including lobbies, restrooms, drinking fountains, and floors


* Dust and sanitize handrails and other high-touch surfaces


* Clean walls, mirrors, windows, light fixtures, towel bars, and dispensers


* Empty trash containers and replace liners as needed


* Sweep, mop, and maintain floors throughout the facility


* Follow all safety procedures, including proper use of caution signs and chemical storage


* Operate housekeeping equipment and cleaning supplies according to manufacturer guidelines


* Keep housekeeping carts, supply areas, and equipment clean and organized


* Report resident safety concerns promptly to facility leadership


* Notify the Director of Housekeeping when supplies need replenishing


* Demonstrate excellent customer service and professionalism


* Manage time effectively and complete assignments efficiently


* Work independently and as part of a team to meet facility cleanliness standards

Qualifications


* High school diploma or equivalent preferred


* Previous housekeeping experience preferred; healthcare or long-term care experience is a plus


* Ability to follow instructions and safety guidelines


* Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness


* Good communication and interpersonal skills


* Reliable, dependable, and team-oriented
