Coordinator Child Care
The Coordinator Child Care is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day management and administrative functions of the Child Care Subsidy program.
Responsible for staff supervision, mentoring and development, quality control, community advocacy and networking to further program goals and objectives.
RESPONSIBILITY LEVEL:
Responsible for providing child care related services to Wisconsin Shares participants at the Kenosha County Job Center/Human Services Building.
This position is responsible for the supervision of the Child Care Coordination Unit which includes monitoring child care subsidies, paying providers through the state system, overseeing child care fraud, providing quality control in all aspects of the Units' responsibilities and coordinating community advocacy and networking for the development of quality child care.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES:
1.
Provide child care case management services to eligible populations.
2.
Supervise staff of child care case workers, providing support, mentoring/coaching and disseminating information as appropriate to them.
3.
Make child care referrals to appropriate resources, respond to participant needs through close monitoring of alerts and strong communication with team members.
4.
Assist in the development, coordination and implementation of policies, rules and procedures for child care regulation.
5.
Maintain appropriate county policies and procedures for child care subsidy authorization and payment.
6.
Complete payment adjustments for participants through state systems.
7.
Oversee child care audit process including finalizing child care overpayments and Intentional Program Violation (IPV) fraud referrals.
8.
Prepare and present at child care overpayment and IPV fraud referral hearings.
9.
Manage updates and completion of monthly child care reports.
10.
Conduct training and provide consultation and updates on child care regulation, licensing, and related issues.
Review and revise training as necessary.
11.
Disseminate policy and procedure changes to all personnel in a timely manner.
12.
Assist families in locating a regulated child care provider and provide information on what to look for in a regulated child care setting.
13.
Serve as a contact point for families who have questions and/or concerns regarding their eligibility and authorization for child care services.
14.
Conduct regular and on-going unit meetings to ensure all child care unit staff are informed and provided any necessary updates/information and address any issues or concerns as needed.
15.
Attend regional child care meetings for an increase in knowledge with upcoming changes and events.
16.
Maintain appropriate state guidelines for payment of providers and have the ability to answer questions regarding the length of authorizations or the calculation of the payment rates.
