Chief of Pediatric Hospital Medicine

Nemours Children's Health is seeking an accomplished and visionary physician leader to serve as Chief of Pediatric Hospital Medicine at Nemours Children's Hospital, Delaware in Wilmington.

The chief serves as a key member of the Department of Pediatrics leadership team and reports directly to Department Chair David Brousseau, MD, MS.

The chief will provide strategic vision and leadership for all divisional missions, including inpatient care delivery, quality and safety, education, scholarly activity, advocacy, faculty development, and program growth.

Division Overview

The Division of Pediatric Hospital Medicine includes 19 hospitalists, many of whom are board- certified in Pediatric Hospital Medicine, including three physicians who are dual trained in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics.

The division also includes two Pediatric Hospital Medicine fellows and seven Advanced Practice Providers.

The team provides care for approximately 7,000 patients annually within a 220-bed, state-of-the-art children's hospital that serves as a regional referral center for complex pediatric care.

Faculty appointments and opportunities for academic advancement are available through Sidney Kimmel Medical College.

Academic Excellence and Research Leadership

The Division of Pediatric Hospital Medicine maintains a strong academic presence within Nemours Children's and serves as a cornerstone of undergraduate and graduate medical education.
