Manager, Corporate Business Development

Job Summary

Develops and executes business initiatives that grow revenue, reduce costs, and improve efficiency.

As an extension of the CEO's staff, the position acts as an internal consultant and works projects across CITGO in Refining, Supply & Marketing, Trading, Terminals & Pipelines, and Specialty Products.

Additionally, the role evaluates new lines of business, and executes mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures.

The job requires broad experience to develop creative solutions.

A successful candidate will:

Build relationships with third parties

Research markets and regulatory issues

Build financial models and conduct sensitivity analysis

Analyze and negotiate contracts

Spearhead the evaluation of new technologies and commercial growth opportunities

Collaborate with business development and project planning personnel in other departments

Value companies, businesses, and assets

Manage engagements with outside consultants

Manage cross-functional processes, such as due diligence and Solomon benchmarking

Communicate with senior executive team and facilitate decision making

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred

-8 years experience

The candidate should demonstrate proficiency across a majority of the following competencies, with the expectation that approximately 80% of these skills are met:

Job Duties

Provide leadership in identifying and developing new business opportunities.

Develop screening or feasibility level economics.

Champion opportunities from inception through completion, working with the CFO and the CFO's business/finance team and other internal stakeholders in implementing third party acquisitions or divestitures.

Function as an internal consultant and advisor.

Provide oversight and expert assistance in business analysis.

Provide support and review of unique opportunities for the senior management and their staff.
