About the Role

We are currently seeking a Mechanical Reliability Engineer to join our team at Pinjarra Refinery.

In this role, you will play a key part in improving mechanical reliability, equipment performance and operational efficiency across our refinery operations.

Combining project delivery with practical engineering support, you will help identify opportunities, solve complex equipment challenges and deliver sustainable improvements that support safety, productivity and plant performance.

Working collaboratively with site-based engineering teams, central reliability and asset integrity specialists, and technical centres of excellence, you will:


* Lead improvement initiatives that enhance safety, quality and equipment reliability


* Develop practical engineering solutions to recurring equipment and operational issues


* Design and implement predictive and preventative maintenance strategies


* Complete root cause analysis and define repair, replacement and upgrade scopes


* Manage capital and expense projects from concept through to execution


* Support the introduction of new technologies and cost-saving opportunities


* Ensure engineering standards, governance and best practice requirements are maintained


* Improve equipment documentation, maintenance strategies and spare parts management


* Troubleshoot equipment issues, support breakdown response and implement long-term reliability solutions

What you can bring to the role


* A tertiary Engineering qualification


* Experience in maintenance, reliability, or heavy industry


* Strong problem-solving, initiative, and communication skills


* Familiarity with risk, quality, and reliability frameworks
