Human Resources Generalist
Amsted Rail is looking for a Human Resources Generalist that will provide a variety of Human Resources services necessary for implementation of the People Development/People Experience Programs for both salaried and hourly employees.
This position will recognize organizational needs, recommend the appropriate mix and emphasis of people strategies to improve organization effectiveness, and implement the agreed-on plan.
Will often work on special projects.

The Human Resources Generalist will play a critical role in executing the HR Strategy by providing HR support to our manufacturing operations and fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
This role will be located onsite at our Wheel Columbus, Ohio plant.
PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES
* Strategic HR Partnership: Collaborate with HR Director to implement HR strategies that support the business objectives and operational needs of the manufacturing plant.
* Employee Relations: Serve as a trusted advisor on all employee relations issues, providing guidance and support to management and employees to resolve conflicts and ensure a positive work environment.
* Performance Management: Assist with the performance management process, including goal setting, performance reviews, and development plans, to enhance employee productivity and engagement.
Conduct investigations, provide resolution plan for employee complaints/concerns, and monitors follow up on action plans with management.
* Training and Development: Identify training needs and develop programs to enhance employee skills and capabilities, ensuring alignment with business goals and industry standards.
* Compliance: Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, as well as company policies and procedures.
* Change Management: Support organizational change initiatives by providing guidance on communication strategies, training, and employee engagement.
* HR Metrics and Reporting: Analyze HR metrics and data to identify trends, provide insights, and develop action plans to improve HR processes and support business goals.
* Culture and Engagement: Promote a positive organizational culture by leading employee engagement initiatives and fostering a collaborative and inclusive work environment.
Take lead role in community outreach and organizational branding efforts by developing relationships with schools, colleges, and non-profits.
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS
* Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field; master’s degree preferred.
* Minimum 3-5 years of HR experience, with a minimum of 1 year in a Human Resources Generalist role within the manufacturing industry is preferred.
