What You'll Do

As a Maintenance Technician, you'll help maintain and repair our convenience stores and company facilities throughout Michigan's Eastern Upper Peninsula.

You'll travel between locations in a company-provided maintenance van, performing a variety of repairs that keep our operations running safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities include:


* Perform general building maintenance, repairs, and preventative maintenance.


* Repair and maintain electrical systems, lighting, switches, outlets, and fixtures.


* Troubleshoot and repair plumbing fixtures, doors, windows, drywall, flooring, and other building components.


* Complete carpentry, painting, masonry, and concrete repairs as needed.


* Install, move, and repair equipment, motors, fixtures, and other mechanical systems.


* Use hand and power tools safely and effectively.


* Perform inspections and testing to ensure equipment operates safely and meets applicable codes.


* Respond to maintenance requests and assist with emergency repairs when necessary.


* Maintain accurate records of completed work and communicate effectively with supervisors and store personnel.


* Follow all company safety policies and procedures while delivering quality workmanship.

What We're Looking For


* Experience in commercial building maintenance, facilities maintenance, or a skilled trade preferred.


* Working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and general building maintenance.


* Ability to diagnose problems and complete repairs independently.


* Strong communication and customer service skills when working with store teams.


* Self-motivated with excellent time management and organizational skills.


* Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.


* Ability to travel throughout the Eastern Upper Peninsula.

Schedule


* Monday through Friday


* Typical start time of 7:00 AM


* 8-hour shifts


* Overtime may be required based on business needs.


* Occasional emergency call-outs, evenings, or weekend work may be necessary.

Physical Requirements

This position requires frequent standing, walking, climbing, bending, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and working with hand and power tools.
