COMPENSATION INFORMATION
The salary range(s) represents our good faith estimate for the role at this time.

While we strive to provide competitive and transparent compensation, there may be circumstances where an offer is above or outside of the listed range.

Salary Ranges

Sr.

Engineer: $108,000 – $123,000
Engineer II: $88,000 – $99,000

Overview

The Engineer II and Senior Engineer, Transmission Planning roles support the development, analysis, and execution of transmission planning functions.

Responsibilities include performing engineering analyses, running simulations using appropriate economic and reliability software tools, developing and coordinating study scopes, and supporting the CPP, Tariff Studies, Regional Cost Allocation Review (RCAR), and Coordinated System Plan Study processes.

Both levels contribute to the planning objectives, critical issues, new concepts, policy matters, process improvements, and engineering measurements.

These roles require interaction with SPP staff, stakeholders, and regulators, with the ability to communicate effectively through written and oral formats.

A strong technical understanding of SPP’s power systems—including powerflow, flowgates, congestion, and transmission planning techniques—is required, along with a fundamental understanding of the SPP Culture, Mission, Core Values, and governing documents.
