Position: Occupational Therapist (OT) - Full-Time or Part-Time
Pay Range: $54.00 - $62.00 per hour DOE

Desert Springs Post Acute, soon to be known as Willow Springs Healthcare Center, is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our growing rehabilitation team.

Position Summary

The Occupational Therapist is responsible for evaluating residents, developing individualized treatment plans, and providing skilled occupational therapy services to improve functional independence, self-care abilities, mobility, safety awareness, and overall quality of life.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities


* Evaluate residents and develop individualized occupational therapy treatment plans


* Provide skilled occupational therapy interventions based on physician orders and clinical assessments


* Address activities of daily living (ADLs), upper extremity function, balance, coordination, cognition, and safety awareness


* Establish measurable treatment goals and modify plans as appropriate


* Assess and recommend adaptive equipment, environmental modifications, and safety strategies


* Supervise and collaborate with Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs)


* Complete timely and accurate documentation in accordance with facility, state, and federal requirements


* Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings, care planning, and discharge planning


* Educate residents, families, and caregivers on treatment plans and functional strategies


* Collaborate with nursing staff, physicians, rehabilitation professionals, and other healthcare team members to optimize resident outcomes

Qualifications


* Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program


* Current California Occupational Therapist license in good standing


* Current CPR certification preferred


* Skilled nursing facility experience preferred but not required


* Strong clinical reasoning, communication, and documentation skills


* Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative interdisciplinary team


* Passion for helping residents achieve meaningful functional outcomes
