Job Summary:

The Director of Procurement is a senior leadership role responsible for shaping and executing Sotera Health’s global procurement strategy.

This leader will drive meaningful business impact by building strong cross-functional partnerships, advancing procurement capabilities, and aligning category strategies with company objectives across all business units.

As a strategic partner to leaders throughout the organization, the Director will ensure that procurement initiatives support enterprise goals related to growth, cost optimization, and risk management.

This individual will also play a key role in positioning Procurement as a trusted, value-added contributor to the business.

The role will focus on building new and optimizing existing sourcing strategies, enhancing procurement processes, and developing performance frameworks to measure Procurement’s effectiveness, contribution, and impact to the business.

The ideal candidate will bring strong relationship-building skills, business acumen, and a customer-focused mindset to deliver results and foster a culture of continuous improvement and strategic collaboration.

Essential Functions:

Procurement Strategy


* Lead the development of short- and long-term Procurement strategies and objectives.


* Partner with business unit leaders to create category strategies that support and align with enterprise objectives.


* Position Procurement as a strategic business partner and ensure alignment on goals, priorities, and performance expectations.

Cross-Functional Partnership & Impact


* Formalize strategic partnerships with key functions including Finance, Engineering, Operations, IT, and Facilities to proactively identify cost-saving and value-creation opportunities.


* Establish performance metrics and success frameworks to evaluate team effectiveness and Procurement’s impact on the broader business.


* Collaborate across teams to identify and implement process improvements across the requisition-to-pay cycle.
