Principal, Segment Solutions

Your Mission

The Principal, Segment Solutions - Heavy Industries, as part of the Applications team, is responsible for defining, shaping, and accelerating Schneider Electric's segment-specific solution strategy for global Heavy Industries customers.

This role sits at the intersection of strategy, technology, and commercialization, with a primary focus on:

Developing compelling value propositions and demo assets for targeted segment use cases

Defining technology needs, solution architectures, and offer gaps in collaboration with Lines of Business

Driving execution of strategic innovation initiatives across internal and external ecosystems

Enabling customer opportunity generation and deal support in close partnership with Sales

The role directly contributes to segment growth, differentiation, and digital leadership by translating strategy into compelling, innovative solutions.

Value Proposition & Solution Development


* Lead the development of segment-specific value propositions, aligned to Heavy Industries customer priorities (e.g., energy efficiency, sustainability, reliability, autonomy)


* Co-create and continuously refine solution narratives and demo environmentsin close collaboration with Marketing and Strategy teams


* Ensure value propositions are:


* Outcome-driven


* Quantified (efficiency gains, cost reduction, etc.)


* Differentiated against competitors


* Translate complex technologies (AI, digital twins, automation, electrification) into customer-relevant business value stories

Segment Technology Definition & Offer Gap Identification


* Define and continuously evolve segment-specific technology and application requirements


* Work closely with Lines of Business (LoBs)to:


* Identify portfolio gaps


* Influence offer roadmaps


* Align product development with segment needs


* Drive creation of reference architectures and solution blueprintstailored to Heavy Industries


* Act as the voice of the segmentinto internal offer and platform teams

Strategy Execution & Innovation Initiatives


* Ensure progress and delivery of priority innovation initiativesaligned to segment strategy


* Lead or coordinate initiatives involving:


* Multiple Schneider Electric LoBs, Innovation Hubs


* External partners and ecosystem players


* Track and manage execution milestones, dependencies, and risks


* Support incubation and provingof new solutions and use cases

Sales Enablement & Opportunity Development


* Work closely with Sales teamsto:


* Support qualification and shaping of opportunities


* Strengthen value proposition in customer discussions


* Contribute to high-impact pursuits and strategic deals


* Engage with customers and partnersto:


* Validate use cases


* Demonstrate solutions and value
