What You'll Do

As a Dietary Aide, you'll help ensure residents receive nutritious, high-quality meals while maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient kitchen environment.

Responsibilities include:


* Set up meal trays and assist with meal service


* Prepare snacks and nourishments for residents


* Wash dishes and operate commercial dishwashing equipment


* Monitor and record dishwasher water temperatures and sanitizer levels


* Maintain cleanliness of kitchen equipment, workstations, refrigerators, and storage areas


* Sweep, mop, and sanitize kitchen floors


* Remove trash and maintain a clean work environment


* Stock and organize food deliveries safely


* Assist cooks and dietary leadership with daily kitchen operations


* Follow food safety, sanitation, and infection control procedures


* Work collaboratively with nursing and other departments to provide excellent resident care

Qualifications


* High school diploma or equivalent preferred


* Food service, restaurant, hospital, or healthcare dietary experience is a plus, but we're willing to train the right candidate


* Food Handler Certificate (or ability to obtain upon hire)


* Ability to follow recipes and written instructions


* Strong work ethic and attention to detail


* Dependable, positive attitude, and excellent teamwork skills


* Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and work in a fast-paced kitchen environment
