What are we looking for?

The Laboratory Technician will support the Caleb Brett business by, under immediate supervision, and in a training capacity, efficiently performing various chemical and physical analyses, primarily on petroleum products.

We're looking for someone with ability to utilize non-complex and complex instrumentation.

The Laboratory Technician will work a rotating shift schedule that will include evenings, overtime, and weekend coverage.

Shift/Schedule: M-F 8am-5pm, M-F 1pm-10pm, Weekends, as needed

Salary & Benefits Information

The base wage or salary range for this position is $30 - $35/hr.

Individual compensation packages are based on a variety of factors unique to each candidate including skill set, experience, qualifications, and other job-related reasons.

What you'll do:


* Performs numerous chemical and physical tests based on American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) methods or accepted industry standards in multiple test areas.


* Assist with equipment calibration, maintenance and basic troubleshooting.


* To organize and prioritize the laboratory work.


* To communicate, monitor, and enforce laboratory safety and housekeeping practices.


* Assists with preparing reagents, as needed.


* To assist in, or conduct, investigations of discrepancies to resolve problems with clients, and to inform Management of required corrective action.


* To oversee the activities of shipping, receiving, sample retention, and sample disposal.


* To provide objective input into Technicians' performance reviews.
