(3) three (12) twelve-hour shifts.
Every third weekend rotation.
Hours are based off the operational needs of the department.
You will work at University Hospital in Madison, WI.

We are seeking a Charge Nurse / Care Team Leader (CTL) that will:
* Serve as a clinical leader, mentor, and trusted resource for nursing staff while providing direct care for patients with complex acute surgical conditions
* Partner with unit leadership on hiring decisions, patient experience initiatives, and quality improvement projects that enhance patient care and team performance
* Collaborate with a highly skilled, compassionate team to care for high-acuity patients on our 28-bed Acute Care General Surgery Unit
* Provide expert post-operative care for patients recovering from complex abdominal surgeries involving the esophagus, stomach, small bowel, colon, liver, pancreas (including Whipple procedures), gallbladder, and bile ducts
* Foster a positive, collaborative work environment that supports professional growth through continuing education, specialty certification, mentorship, and leadership development
* Contribute to innovative, evidence-based practice by participating in research studies and implementing the latest therapies to improve patient outcomes

Qualifications
* Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) Preferred
