Regulatory Scientist

If so, we want to speak with you!We are currently seeking a Regulatory Scientist to join our Regulatory Affairs (RA) organization in Richmond, VA.The Regulatory Scientist is responsible for the end-to-end coordination, tracking, and management of samples across internal laboratories and external partners.

This role ensures accurate sample intake, prioritization, testing alignment, and data integrity within LIMS systems.

The position plays a critical role in enabling efficient laboratory operations, maintaining compliance, and supporting high-quality data generation through cross-functional collaboration and process execution.
In this role, you will:


* Perform and manage the processes to receive and dispense samples including, but not limited to, Shipping samples to external labs, Handling sample retains, Returning samples to submitters and Discarding of samples.


* Collaborate with laboratory management, scientists, and technicians to clarify testing requirements, schedule, and prioritize meeting customer requirements.


* Use laboratory information management (LIMS) software and database to log samples for tests, track progress of tests and generate final reports


* Handle sample shipment to and retrieval from off-site storage, requires PPE and lifting boxes of 50 lbs.


* Routine monitoring of refrigerators and freezers.

We want you to have:


* Bachelor's Degree in Science, Chemistry, Biology, or a related field


* 1 year of relevant work experience in Analytical Sciences


* Working knowledge of Microsoft office products


* Ability to query using SQL is desirable


* Good interpersonal skills as well as independent and critical thinking to manage customer and laboratory interactions with minimal supervision


* Managing multiple priorities, various sample types, potentially high sample volumes and demanding time constraints and planning/organizing work accordingly


* Ability to make sound, independent technical/administrative decisions regarding data review/analysis and to establish workload priority based on experience and technical knowledge

The starting salary is based on but not limited to experience, knowledge, and qualifications in determining compensation decisions.

The Salary Range for this position is: $72,900.00 - $107,100.00.
