Position Summary

We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused Admissions Nurse (RN/LPN) to lead the admissions process and help grow facility census by providing an exceptional experience for residents, families, referral sources, and hospital partners.

This role serves as a vital link between referral sources, residents, families, and the interdisciplinary team to ensure smooth and timely admissions.

Key Responsibilities


* Coordinate and manage the admissions process from referral through admission


* Review referrals and screen prospective residents to ensure appropriate admissions


* Complete admission documentation, financial responsibility forms, and required paperwork


* Verify insurance coverage and benefits eligibility


* Maintain accurate records of bed availability and admission activity


* Collaborate with nursing leadership, case managers, therapy, and other departments to facilitate seamless admissions


* Coordinate transportation and required support services for incoming residents


* Educate residents, families, and referral sources regarding facility services and admission criteria


* Build and maintain relationships with hospitals, physicians, discharge planners, and community referral sources


* Participate in daily stand-up meetings and census development initiatives


* Assist with outreach events, facility tours, healthcare fairs, and community engagement activities


* Protect resident privacy and maintain confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations


* Support census growth goals through outstanding customer service and relationship building


* Complete additional projects and assignments as directed by leadership

Qualifications
Education & Experience


* High school diploma or GED required


* Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, Marketing, Nursing, or related field preferred


* Minimum of two years of admissions, healthcare marketing, case management, or related experience preferred
