Maintenance Scheduler/CMMS - Days - Roseburg, OR

Position Title: Maintenance Scheduler/CMMS

Reports To: Maintenance Supervisor & Maintenance Director

Department: Maintenance

Hours per shift: Day shift Monday-Friday and must be available if needed on all shifts and or Holidays.

Wage: Lead Millwright Wage

Position Purpose: The Scheduler/CMMS’s main duties will include but are not limited to KPI Maintenance, Downtime Reporting, CMMS maintenance scheduling, and parts kitting for the Roseburg Studmill.

Position Functions:

Maintenance Scheduler/CMMS: Essential Functions

These duties are designated as ADA Essential Functions and must be performed in this job.
1.

CMMS: This position will have the complete CMMS process assigned to them.
1.

Print off PM’s: Assign them to the correct individuals and schedule work as needed.
2.

Collect finished PM’s: Read through each one, then enter needed work by machine center and order parts as needed.
3.

Turn into the main office to have them closed out.
4.

Ensure PM’s are correct and up to date, reflecting the mill site’s current and future needs.

Scheduling: This individual will be responsible for scheduling all maintenance tasks.
1.

Responsible for the daily work assignments dictated by the millwright follow up notes from their daily work log, PM’s, and generated work orders.
2.

Assign work based on direction from either the maintenance superintendent, the maintenance supervisor, or a leader on site.
3.

Schedule the longer maintenance windows between shifts in the sawmill for Tuesday and Thursday afternoon.
4.

Schedule the longer maintenance window at the Planer for Wednesday afternoon.
5.

Schedule the weekend work.

Parts: This is person is responsible for around seventy-five percent of the parts ordering.
1.

Based on needed maintenance or the results of the PM or finished work orders.

Order the needed parts for upcoming work.
2.

The larger parts, such as those needed from blueprints, larger hydraulic cylinders, etc.

will be ordered by either the maintenance superintendent or maintenance supervisor.

4.

Job Kitting: This individual will be responsible for kitting parts for each of the maintenance windows designated for maintenance to be performed.
1.

Parts kitting will be conducted at the designated location to accumulate parts prior to scheduling the work.
2.

Have designated tubs for each millwright: Place parts into the tubs for each job assigned to the millwright.

Have all parts in each tub prior to the start of the maintenance window.
3.

Project kitting: Set aside a pallet in the old planer for each project.

Collect all the parts and place them onto the pallet for each designated job.

Ensure all the parts are available prior to the start of the project.
