Clinical Therapist I/II - IST Diversion Program
Must be currently registered with the Board of Behavioral Sciences as an Associate Clinical Social Worker, Associate Marriage and Family Therapist, Associate Professional Clinical Counselor, Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, or Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor.
The Riverside University Health Systems - Behavioral Health, IST Diversion Program department is currently recruiting for a Clinical Therapist I/II position located in Banning.
The Clinical Therapist I/II provides services to adult SMI clients in custody, including both men and women.
This role involves delivering clinical support within detention environments, and candidates must be comfortable working with justice-involved individuals.
Clinicians in this position may be required to travel to detention facilities throughout the county to conduct in-custody assessments, provide treatment, or offer related services.
Candidates with experience in the competency process or who have previously worked in custody or correctional settings are strongly preferred.
The department highly desire professionals who are adaptable, confident working in secure environments, and committed to supporting some of the county's most vulnerable, high-needs populations.

• Develop service plans with consumers; evaluate psychological, economic, vocational, educational, physical, health, socialization, and housing needs.
• Coordinate with other staff members (psychiatrists, psychologists, and other program staff) and community agencies in carrying out and designing treatment or rehabilitation plans.
• Assist consumers and other concerned individuals in understanding the nature of major psychological illnesses and their psychosocial effects.
