What You'll Do
As a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant, you'll work under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist to help residents restore function, increase independence, and improve their overall quality of life.
Responsibilities include:
* Provide skilled occupational therapy treatments based on individualized care plans
* Assist residents in improving daily living skills, mobility, strength, and functional independence
* Monitor resident progress and communicate updates to the Occupational Therapist and interdisciplinary team
* Accurately document treatments, progress notes, and functional outcomes
* Educate residents and families on adaptive techniques, therapeutic exercises, and home programs
* Collaborate with the rehabilitation team to deliver high-quality, resident-centered care
Qualifications
* Current California Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license (or eligibility for licensure)
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Passion for rehabilitation and resident-centered care
* Positive, collaborative, and compassionate approach to patient care
