The Manager, Grants will play a key role in advancing compliant, high-impact Medical Affairs grant programs that support scientific exchange, external collaboration, and education within a dynamic oncology organization.
This role offers the opportunity to partner closely with Medical Affairs leadership, Legal, Compliance, Finance, Quality, and external stakeholders to strengthen grant governance, improve operational processes, and ensure timely, accurate execution of IME/CME, IIT, publication, sponsorship, and other research or educational funding activities.
Position Summary:
The Manager, Grants is responsible for the operational management, governance, and compliance oversight of Medical Affairs grant programs, including Independent Medical Education (IME/CME), Independent Investigator-Initiated Trials (IITs), publications, sponsorships, and other external research or educational funding.
This role ensures all grant activities are conducted in accordance with company policies, applicable laws and regulations, and industry standards while supporting scientific exchange and external collaboration.
Performance Objectives:
Grants Program Management
* Manage the end-to-end operational lifecycle of Medical Affairs grants, including intake, review, approval, contracting, payment, tracking, and closeout.
* Serve as the primary operational contact for IME/CME, IIT, publication, and sponsorship grants.
* Ensure accurate documentation, tracking, and reporting of all grant activities and expenditures.
Governance & Compliance
* Coordinate and support Grants Committee meetings, including agenda development, materials preparation, documentation of decisions, and follow-up actions.
* Ensure grants processes adhere to internal SOPs, compliance policies, OIG guidance, PhRMA Code, and other applicable regulations.
