Key Responsibilities


* Evaluate residents and develop individualized occupational therapy treatment plans.


* Provide evidence-based interventions to improve functional independence, upper extremity function, cognition, and activities of daily living.


* Utilize the ADL Suite to deliver realistic, goal-oriented functional training.


* Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, therapists, residents, and families to achieve optimal rehabilitation outcomes.


* Supervise Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs) in accordance with California practice guidelines.


* Maintain accurate and timely documentation, including evaluations, daily treatment notes, progress reports, recertifications, and discharge summaries.


* Participate in interdisciplinary care conferences, discharge planning, and quality improvement initiatives.


* Educate residents and caregivers on adaptive techniques, home exercise programs, safety recommendations, and equipment use.
