What You'll Do

As an Admissions Assistant, you'll help ensure every new resident experiences a smooth, organized, and welcoming admission process.

Responsibilities include:


* Welcome prospective residents, families, hospitals, and referral partners with professionalism and compassion.


* Coordinate and schedule admissions, including pre-admission assessments and required documentation.


* Maintain accurate resident records in compliance with federal, state, and facility regulations.


* Assist with insurance verification, prior authorizations, and financial eligibility processes.


* Conduct facility tours for prospective residents and families.


* Collaborate with nursing, social services, therapy, and administrative departments to ensure seamless admissions.


* Prepare admission packets and required documentation.


* Communicate with hospitals, physicians, case managers, and referral sources to coordinate timely admissions.


* Support marketing, census development, and community outreach initiatives as needed.

What We're Looking For
Qualifications


* Previous admissions, healthcare, or skilled nursing experience strongly preferred


* Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, managed care, and insurance verification processes


* Excellent customer service and communication skills


* Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail


* Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment


* Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications


* Experience with Electronic Health Records (EHR); PointClickCare (PCC) experience is a plus


* Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times
