This is a hybrid role; the selected candidate is expected to work at least 2 days per week from the HPE office in San Jose, CA.

Key Responsibilities


* Develop and enhance features for the HPE EdgeConnect Orchestrator web application supporting SD-WAN deployments.


* Design and build scalable backend services and APIs for orchestration, monitoring, and network management.


* Implement and integrate AI-driven workflows ("skills") that interact with backend systems and data sources.


* Contribute to Copilot capabilities for use cases such as troubleshooting, documentation assistance, and analytics.


* Work with data platforms (e.g., analytics databases, telemetry systems) to enable real-time insights.


* Write and maintain unit, integration, and white-box tests to ensure quality and reliability.


* Participate in debugging, RCA, and performance optimization across backend and AI workflows


* Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, QA, product management) in a distributed environment.


* Contribute to design and architecture decisions with focus on scalability, performance, and security.

Required Qualifications


* This is a hybrid role; the selected candidate is expected to work at least 2 days per week from the HPE office in San Jose, CA.


* 5+ years of experience in Java and/or Python-based backend software development.


* 5+ years of experience designing and developing REST APIs and microservices-based architectures.
