Bring your intraoperative nursing expertise to UW Health as a Nursing Education Specialist or grow your career as a RN-Nursing Educator! This unique opportunity is a 100% FTE position scheduled to typically work Monday through Friday, day shift hours, however some off hours or weekends may be required.

Hours may vary based on the operational needs of the department.

You will primarily work at East Madison Hospital located in Madison, WI.

Pay:


* Pay range is based on a full-time (100%) position.


* Salary is prorated based on FTE.


* Pay range on posting is based on both job title pay ranges combined, see specific ranges for each position title below:


* RN-Nursing Educator Pay Range: $90,552-$135,784


* Nursing Education Specialist Pay Range: $97,764-$146,646

We are seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to join our amazing surgical services team at East Madison Hospital as a Nurse Education Specialist or a RN-Education Specialist to:


* Lead onboarding and ongoing professional development for nursing staff in the Operating Room at East Madison Hospital, supporting a high-volume, multi-specialty surgical environment.


* Assess, plan, develop, implement, and evaluate comprehensive educational programs for intraoperative nursing practice across orthopedic, general, bariatric, minimally invasive, and emerging surgical service lines.


* Support a dynamic OR setting performing 40-50 cases daily across 14 operating rooms, with upcoming expansion including additional OR suites, procedural space, and new specialties such as ENT, ophthalmology, plastics, urology, and gynecology.


* Collaborate across surgical services, anesthesia, and interdisciplinary teams to develop curriculum and education that supports safe, efficient, and high-quality perioperative care.


* Facilitate onboarding for experienced nurses transitioning into the OR and support competency development in a technology-driven environment, including robotics and evolving surgical innovations.


* Serve as a clinical education resource and participate in system-wide initiatives; three (3) years of surgical services nursing experience including intraoperative/circulator nursing experience strongly preferred.
