What You'll Do

As a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant, you will:


* Deliver occupational therapy treatments under the direction of the Occupational Therapist


* Help residents improve independence with activities of daily living (ADLs)


* Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant clinical documentation


* Collaborate with Occupational Therapists, physicians, nursing staff, residents, families, and the interdisciplinary team


* Participate in care conferences and rehabilitation meetings


* Assist with training Restorative Nursing Assistants


* Educate residents and families on therapy goals, home exercise programs, safety techniques, and fall prevention


* Recommend adaptive equipment and assistive devices to maximize resident independence


* Maintain a safe treatment environment by following infection control and safety standards


* Provide in-service education for facility staff as needed


* Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and rehabilitation program development


* Maintain confidentiality and uphold the highest professional standards

Qualifications

We're looking for someone who has:


* Current California Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license in good standing


* Associate Degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program


* CPR Certification (if required by licensure)


* Skilled Nursing Facility experience is preferred, but new graduates are encouraged to apply


* Experience with Net Health and PointClickCare is a plus


* Strong communication, teamwork, organizational, and documentation skills


* A passion for helping residents maximize their independence and quality of life
