Wire Transfer Specialist II
Rockland Trust is seeking a Wire Transfer Specialist II in the Deposit Operations Department in Plymouth to process incoming and outgoing wire transfers, manage customer agreements, and handle domestic collection items, with a work schedule of 9:30 AM to 6:00 PM.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
* Process outgoing domestic and international wire transfer transactions in accordance with established policy and procedures.
* Review wire transfer requests for accuracy and validate authorizations.
* Perform callback verification to confirm transaction details and authenticity of transactions.
Process incoming wire transfers received through the Federal Reserve Bank and ensure timely credit to customer accounts.
* Monitor account/transaction activity to identify potential fraudulent wire transfer requests.
* Perform research related to wire transfer investigations as requested by customers and business units.
* Perform daily reconciliations with the Federal Reserve and other correspondent banks.
* Maintain business and consumer Wire Transfer Agreements and customer information files.
* Process domestic collection items
* Post entries and reconcile general ledger accounts associated with wire transfer and foreign exchange fees
* Ensure Compliance regulations are being met.
* Communicate both written and verbally with all levels of management, commercial and retail customers, branches, vendors, Federal Reserve and other corresponding banks.
* Performs other job related duties as required.
Qualifications:
* Must be a detailed-oriented individual with strong communication/interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work under strict deadlines
* Must be self-motivated and show initiative in new learning opportunities
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Proficient with Microsoft Office.
* Learn to work with updated technology (i.e.
Online Banking etc).
* Must have a strong ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks on a continued basis.
* Experience with Digital Products.
* Experience within the financial services industry, preferably in banking.
* Ability to prioritize multiple tasks effectively
Education and/or Experience Requirements
* High school diploma or equivalent required.
* Banking/wire knowledge is a preferred.
