Position Summary:
NeighborHealth is seeking an experienced Payroll Manager to lead and oversee our payroll function, ensuring the accurate, timely, and compliant administration of payroll for approximately 1,400 employees across multiple states.

This role serves as the functional owner of Workday Payroll and Workday Time Tracking and is responsible for payroll operations, compliance, audits, internal controls, and continuous process improvement.

The ideal candidate has strong payroll leadership experience, expertise in multi-state payroll administration, and the ability to partner effectively with Human Resources, Benefits, Finance, and HRIS.

This individual is detail-oriented, customer-focused, and thrives in a complex healthcare environment.

What You'll Do

The Payroll Manager will oversee all aspects of payroll administration, including payroll processing, tax compliance, retirement contributions, payroll accounting support, and year-end reporting.

This role will lead payroll system enhancements and process improvements within Workday Payroll and Workday Time Tracking, supervise payroll staff, and partner closely with Human Resources, Benefits, Finance, and HRIS to ensure accurate and efficient payroll operations.

The successful candidate will be able to perform the following responsibilities:

Payroll Operations



* Manage and oversee bi-weekly payroll processing for all employees, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with wage and hour laws and multi-state payroll requirements.


* Review and approve payroll inputs including timekeeping data, earnings, deductions, garnishments, retroactive adjustments, and off-cycle payments.


* Ensure accurate maintenance of employee payroll records, including new hires, terminations, job changes, and compensation updates.


* Oversee paid time off (PTO), leave accruals, and state-mandated leave programs, ensuring balances and payments are correct for exempt and non-exempt staff.
