* Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution in Accounting or Finance.


* Minimum 1 years of experience performing professional-level accounting and finance duties


* Experience in manufacturing environment preferred.


* Skilled in use of complex financial software.


* Good interpersonal skills to interface effectively with customers.

Ability to work with minimal direction in a fast-paced environment.


* Must possess proficient Excel skills (including formulas, pivot tables, etc.)


* Solid analytical and problem solving skills to evaluate technical and operational accounting issues and to develop effective solutions.


* Excellent planning, organizational and implementation skills to deliver superior levels of performance in assigned areas of responsibility.


* Proven interpersonal and leadership abilities to interact effectively with individuals and groups both internal and external to the company and at all levels.


* Due to month end/closing schedule, must be flexible in occasional night/weekend work

Job Summary

Primary focus is processing bi-weekly payroll for the company, related journal entry preparation, and vacation accrual tracking.

The goal is to ensure personnel receive the correct compensation in a timely manner.

The Specialist communicates with all levels of personnel and alerts management of the company to any issues that require immediate attention.

As the position involves handling employees' personal information, the specialist is expected to maintain proper security and confidentiality for all employees.
