Staff Cloud Engineer – Cloud Platforms

You will be working on a team that is building a cloud-based development environment.

You will work with a multi-disciplinary collaborative team of hardware, software engineers and security specialists to design and implement a secure cloud-based software development and maintenance environment.

You will be part of our employee-owned international research and engineering company.

Staff Cloud Engineer – Cloud Platforms Position Requirements:


* U.S.

Citizenship (No exceptions; green card holders are not eligible)


* Current DoD Secret Clearance (or higher)


* BS or higher in computer science, IT, engineering, applied mathematics, or a closely related field.


* 2+ years relevant work experience with BS


* Successfully acquire and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) access


* Successfully obtain DoD 8570 IAT Level II Certification (Security+, CCNA-Security, etc.) within 60 days of hire


* Good oral & written communication skills


* Excel as a team player and strive to maximize team & department performance


* Willing to work on-site, daily, at our Raleigh, NC or San Antonio, TX location

While the qualifications listed above are important, the following experience can help you ramp up quickly and maximize your impact:


* Hands-on experience with AWS, Azure or other cloud platforms


* Proficiency in programming languages like:  C++, Java, Go or Python


* Familiarity with containerization technologies like: Kubernetes, Helm, Amazon ECS/EKS or OpenShift


* Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines with tools such as: Jenkins, GitLab or Argo


* Knowledge of infrastructure automation tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible, SaltStack)


* Basic knowledge of monitoring tools similar to: AWS CloudWatch, Splunk, Prometheus or Grafana
