* Shift: Straight 1^st 6:00 AM - 2:00 PM / Monday - Friday

OVERVIEW: 

The Forklift Mechanic is responsible for periodic maintenance, repair and troubleshooting on various models of material handling equipment.

RESPONSIBILITIES:



* Able to repair or replace minor and major system components, including electrical parts hydraulics, mechanical, L.P.

systems, power steering, transmissions and engines. 


* Troubleshoot forklift related issues.


* Perform proper preventative maintenance (PMs) in a timely manner.


* Service and repair other miscellaneous types of equipment including electric carts, trailers and yard equipment.

 

REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS:



* High School diploma or GED equivalent is required


* Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Forklift Mechanic


* Must be willing to work 1^st shift


* Must pass pre-employment tests including a drug screen, background check, physical, Functional Capacity & Respirator exams


* Job requires frequent reaching above shoulders, stooping, kneeling, and/or crouching


* Must be capable of lifting and/or moving up to 50 pounds


* Able to read and understand electrical and hydraulic system schematics


* Ability to work in a team environment
