Quality Tech III, Inspection

Basic Qualifications:


* 3-5 years of Quality Experience required

The salary range for this position is $25hr to $30hrHowmet Fastening Systems (HFS) is seeking a 1st Shift, Quality Tech III, Inspection for our City of Industry, California location.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.

• Knowledge of basic shop math
• Ability to work in fast paced environment
• Able to lift/move up to 30 pounds regularly
• Able to follow and carryout instructions
• Must be detailed oriented
• Able to gather, analyze and evaluate data in order to make decisions in accordance to company policies and objectives
• Must be able to pass vision test and meet all visual inspector requirements per internal procedure
• Demonstrates proficient use of precision inspection tools and equipment per internal procedures, manufacturing drawings, and applicable specs/procedures/instructions
• Demonstrates proficient interpretation of work instructions, routers, blueprints, drawings, and specifications including product line inspection standards
• Ability to prepare inspection documentation, gather data, write routine reports and correspondence as required
• Performs full inspections of manufactured products, including AS9102-compliant 1st Article inspection using appropriate drawings or specifications.
• Ensures acceptance of product specifications and requirements independently, utilizing good judgment and prioritization
• Reviews material and process certifications against purchase order, specifications and requirements
• Able to train Quality Tech I-III as required
• Able and willing to cross-train in other Quality activities as required (e.g.

destructive / non-destructive testing, gauge room, etc.)
