Nursing Program Specialist – Quality & Safety
Work Schedule:
Join our team as a Quality and Safety Nursing Program Specialist and bring your quality improvement knowledge and expertise! This unique opportunity is a 100% FTE position scheduled to typically work Monday through Friday, day shift hours, however some off hours or weekends may be required.
Hours may vary based on the operational needs of the department.

Join our Quality & Safety team and play a key role in leading enterprise-wide initiatives that improve patient outcomes, strengthen professional nursing practice, and advance a culture of safety across UW Health.
We are seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to:
* Lead enterprise-wide quality and safety initiatives that support nursing-sensitive indicators, hospital-acquired condition prevention, regulatory readiness, and National Patient Safety Goals.
* Design, implement, maintain, and evaluate evidence-based programs that improve quality, safety, and clinical outcomes through process improvement and sustainable practice change.
* Provide clinical expertise and program leadership by developing workflows, translating evidence into practice, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams across the organization.
* Review current research, best practices, and regulatory standards to develop, implement, and evaluate programs that advance nursing quality and safety.
* Partner with nursing and system leaders through enterprise-wide committees, workgroups, and communication strategies to drive organizational priorities and continuous improvement.
* Evaluate program outcomes and coordinate educational initiatives that promote evidence-based practice, professional nursing excellence, and a culture of quality and safety throughout UW Health.

Five (5) years of clinical nursing experience is required, and an MSN degree is highly preferred.
Experience in quality improvement, patient safety, regulatory/accreditation standards, nursing professional practice, or performance improvement is strongly preferred.
