Sales Account Manager
Responsibilities
The Sales Account Manager is responsible for driving profitable growth through strategic account management, new business development, and strong customer partnerships.
This role manages a portfolio of assigned accounts, identifies opportunities to expand business, and develops sales plans that deliver revenue, margin, and volume objectives.
The ideal candidate builds trusted relationships across customer organizations, understands market dynamics and customer needs, and partners cross-functionally to deliver solutions that create long-term value.
This position requires strong business acumen, effective communication, independent judgment, and the ability to influence decision-makers at multiple levels.
This role covers the Northeast U.S.
territory.
The ideal candidate will be located in MA, CT, VT, NH, RI, or ME, with travel required up to 75% of the time.Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in business, Marketing, Sales, or a related field required; equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
* Minimum 5 years of sales, account management, or business development experience in a business-to-business environment.
* Demonstrated success achieving sales targets, growing customer accounts, and managing complex sales cycles.
* Strong proficiency with CRM systems, sales forecasting, pipeline management, and Microsoft Office applications.
* Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at multiple levels.
* Strong business acumen, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
* Preferred qualifications include experience in the assigned industry or market segment, solution-based selling, and contract negotiation.
