Software Senior Engineer

SUMMARY

Responsible for the software design and development of external customer products.

Utilizes a range of applicable technologies (e.g., cloud development operations, agile technologies, programming languages, compilers, assemblers, debuggers, and other tools) for product lines.

Modifies existing software products to add new functions, adapt to new hardware or software environments, improve performance, or enhance product usability.

Participates in product development in all stages from planning and design to development, testing, and documentation.

ACCOUNTABILITIES


* Provides full design, planning, configuration, documentation, deployment, and top-level support ownership of relevant technologies


* Uses Scrum framework and Agile philosophy to develop software solutions that meet business requirements


* Leads or participates in the software development lifecycle, which includes research, new development, modification, security, correction of errors, reuse, re-engineering, and maintenance of software products.


* Actively engages in Scrum Events; collaborates with the team in backlog refinement, sprint planning, sprint reviews, standups, and retrospectives.

Delivers products within budget, schedule, and quality guidelines


* Applies principles of Built-In Quality and Quality By Design.

Implement Agile Testing, Test-Driven Development (TDD) & Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) practices to ensure built-in quality and automation.


* Promotes continuous integration, continuous delivery and continuous testing in software development processes


* Drives idea generation for new software products or the next version of an existing product


* Protects Intellectual property by working with appropriate legal elements (e.g.

procurement, patents, open source)
