LC Environmental Engineer

Job Summary

The Environmental Engineer supports environmental compliance and sustainability initiatives by conducting engineering analyses, assessing environmental impacts, developing pollution prevention strategies, and ensuring adherence to federal, state, and local regulations.

This role collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to manage environmental projects, reduce emissions and resource use, oversee compliance reporting, and deliver solutions that support safe, efficient, and environmentally responsible operations.

Minimum Qualifications



* Bachelor of Science in Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering) or other related engineering degree required; master's degree in engineering field is preferred but not required.


* Minimum two years of experience working in petroleum refining, chemical manufacturing, or environmental consulting; eight years of job-related experience preferred.


* Experience in environmental compliance, with a basic understanding of environmental regulations.


* Basic knowledge and understanding of federal and state regulations pertaining to CAA, CWA, RCRA, and/or CERCLA.


* Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.


* Ability to manage project risks by understanding and following risk management procedures.


* Valid Driver's License


* Ability to obtain a Transportation Worker's Identification Credential (TWIC)

* Environmental Assessments: Conduct thorough environmental assessments to identify potential environmental impacts associated with our operations, products, or services.


* Regulatory Compliance: Interpret and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal environmental regulations and permits.


* Environmental Remediation: Develop and implement strategies for remediation of contaminated sites, ensuring safe and effective cleanup technologies and procedures.


* Sustainability Initiatives: Design and implement sustainability programs aimed at reducing carbon footprint, waste generation, and resource consumption.


* Air Quality and Water Management: Monitor and manage air quality and water parameters, assesing impacts and implementing corrective actions as needed.
