A construction shop helper is responsible for providing support to skilled tradespeople within a construction shop by performing tasks like loading and unloading materials, preparing tools and work areas, assisting with multiple tasks, cleaning up debris, and maintaining the overall organization of the Shop/Yard, all while adhering to safety protocols and following instructions from supervisors.

This role is located full-time in Sacramento, CA.

Job Description:

Position Responsibilities And Duties:


* Loading and Unloading construction Materials and Tools from Trucks.


* Cleaning Heavy-Duty Equipment.


* Shipping and Receiving.


* Organizing Shop and Yard Tools and Supplies.


* Shop Runs for parts or materials.


* Inventory.


* Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized workspace.


* Prioritize safety by adhering to workplace regulations and ensuring the safe operation of all equipment.


* May assist in ordering materials, tracking material deliveries, and maintaining records of material deliveries.


* Other duties as assigned.


* Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.


* Excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a team.


* Familiarity with relevant industry standards, codes, and regulations.


* Knowledge of safety protocols and practices in construction.

Minimum Skills or Experience Requirements:


* High school diploma or G.E.D.

and/or 1 years of experience in related field.


* Forklift Certificate.
