Engineering Technician III - Medical Diagnostic Instrument Service, 1st Shift

Contributes to the design of detailed solution and executes predefined work packages.
This position supports Siemens immunoassay diagnostic analyzers located at the Siemens Healthineers Walpole, MA facility.

Responsibilities Include


* Installing, troubleshooting, repairing and performing preventative maintenance on Siemens Healthcare diagnostic testing analyzers.


* Troubleshooting analyzer performance issues.


* Delivering timely and effective repairs.


* Monitoring and executing scheduled maintenance requirements and documenting activities.


* Installing new analyzers and performing installation qualification activities.


* Updating and patching software.

Required Knowledge/Skills:


* Proficient with MS Office and network applications.


* Capable of reading schematics and following written instructions.


* Proficient in the use of hand tools and test equipment.


* General understanding of the principles of electricity and electrical safety.


* Strong understanding of fluidic systems and electronic controls.


* Knowledge and experience servicing medical equipment/instrumentation.

Preferred Knowledge/Skills:


* Knowledge and experience servicing and maintaining Siemens immunoassay analyzers.


* Knowledge and experience troubleshooting electronic control and CAN network devices.


* Knowledge and experience installing and updating instrument software.


* Experience working in a medical laboratory setting.

Education:


* Technical associate degree or vocational technical training in electronic technology or electro/mechanical engineering discipline.
