Plans, calculates, designs, develops, tests, and modifies experimental and/or operational mechanical concepts or subsystems.

As a Staff Mechanical Engineer,you will be responsible for:
* Lead the mechanical design and development of in-house production automation systems, including CNC modifications, robotics, palletizing stations, and next-generation vision inspection.
* Provide technical leadership for mechanical design, layout, and execution of new products and processes.
* Drive manufacturing automation projects from concept through design, build, validation, and production handoff.
* Identify and implement process improvement initiatives to support evolving business and industry demands.
* Develop, maintain, and release complete design documentation, specifications, and records in accordance with company and regulatory standards.
* Perform final equipment verification and validation prior to production release.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams (scientists, manufacturing, controls, quality, operations, and suppliers) to improve processes and support new product introductions.
* Investigate manufacturing process issues, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions to reduce defect rates and improve yield.
* Lead projects effectively by planning, prioritizing, and managing schedules, resources, and deliverables across multiple concurrent initiatives.
* Communicate clearly and effectively across all levels of the organization through strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
