Support Services Technician (Warehouse)

The County of Riverside's Information Technology Department is seeking to fill one Support Services Technician vacancy to support the Inventory Management division in Riverside.

Under general supervision, perform skilled and semi-skilled work in the repair and maintenance to receive, store, and issue a variety of supplies, tools, and equipment; to maintain record of repairs, minor maintenance projects, items received and issued; to load and unload freight, supplies and equipment; to assist in the installation mobile radio equipment, facsimile machines, and issuance of pagers; perform authorized repairs to communication/electronic equipment; and to do other related work as required.

Competitive candidates will possess experience with:


* Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams.


* Inventory control practices, including tracking, receiving, storing, and maintaining supplies and equipment.


* Documenting transactions and maintaining accurate inventory and asset records.


* Assigning, tracking, and recovering technology equipment such as laptops, tablets, mobile devices, and related accessories.


* Using hand and power tools to assemble, repair, and install office furniture and equipment.


* Utilizing ServiceNow or similar work order, asset management, or ticketing software to track requests and maintain records.


* Possession of a Forklift (sit down) certification is highly desired.

Schedule: This position follows a 9/80 schedule 7am - 4:30pm.
A successful Security Clearance conducted by the Sheriffs' Department is required for this position.

The incumbent of this class is required to perform a variety of minor mechanical and maintenance work with limited supervision.

Responsibilities also include duties such as maintaining department inventory records; preparing requisitions; sorting and distributing incoming department mail; packaging items scheduled for distribution to branch offices; receiving, storing, and the routing of supplies, materials, and equipment delivery to various departments throughout the county.
