Diabetes Educator

Work Schedule:

100% FTE, Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm, you will work at UW Health Swedish American Hospital 1401 E State St.

Additional components of compensation may include:

Evening, night, and weekend shift differential

Overtime

Qualifications



* Bachelor of Science in Nursing or Bachelor of Science in Dietetics or related field from an accredited facility.

Work Experience

Licenses & Certifications



* Current Registered Nurse licensure from the Illinois Department of Professional Regulation or Registered by the Commission of Dietetic Registration the credentialing agency for the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetic and currently licensed in the State of Illinois.

* BLS certification.

Required


* Certification as a diabetes educator with experience in education preferred.

If not currently certified, will obtain Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist (CDCES) certification after accumulating the required 1000 contact hours to sit for the exam.
