Position Summary
The Flight Operations Program Specialist supports the Aircraft Programs Manager by managing the lifecycle of operational subscription programs across Clay Lacy Aviation's managed fleet.
This role ensures aircraft and flight crews remain compliant with company standards, General Operations Manual (GOM) requirements, and applicable Part 91 and Part 135 regulations.
The Specialist serves as the primary point of contact for flight operations software, electronic flight bag (EFB) platforms, navigation databases, charting services, operational subscriptions, and related vendor programs.
This position partners closely with Flight Operations, Maintenance, Information Technology, aircraft owners, vendors, and flight crews to maintain operational readiness while identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, service continuity, and cost effectiveness.
Location: Van Nuys, CA (KVNY - 100% onsite
Compensation: $29.45 - $39.96 per hour; Eligible for Clay Lacy Aviation's comprehensive Benefits Plan.
Duties and Responsibilities
* Manage the complete lifecycle of aircraft operational subscription programs, including activations, renewals, modifications, suspensions, transfers, and cancellations.
* Coordinate aircraft onboarding, entry into service, operational changes, and aircraft offboarding to ensure required subscription services are implemented and maintained.
* Administer navigation data, electronic flight bag (EFB) applications, charting services, weather subscriptions, datalink services, medical programs, and other operational software.
* Serve as the primary administrator for Jeppesen, ForeFlight, ARINC, APG, OEM platforms, and other aviation service providers.
* Configure and maintain user accounts, permissions, software access, and subscription services for aircraft and flight crews.
* Ensure aircraft and subscription programs comply with General Operations Manual (GOM) requirements and applicable Part 91 and Part 135 operational standards.
* Evaluate operational requirements and recommend subscription solutions based on aircraft mission profiles, operational needs, compliance requirements, and cost effectiveness.
* Serve as the primary liaison between aircraft owners, owner representatives, pilots, Directors of Maintenance, OEMs, vendors, and internal departments regarding operational subscription programs.
