* Prior experience using hand engraving or other mechanical tools used in a shop environment.
* Moderate Microsoft Excel skills.
* The ability to interpret blueprints and technical drawings is required.
* H igh school diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited institution.
Addition training beyond the high school diploma is a plus.
EXPERIENCE:
* Basic shop equipment knowledge and skills preferred.
* Mechanical aptitude is necessary.
* Experience with overhead cranes and mobile equipment.
* Handling and transportation of dies.
* Experience with CAD/CAM systems is a plus.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
* Some heavy lifting up to 25 lbs.
* Operation of mobile and other shop equipment
* Use of hand tools
* Minimal use of 10x magnifying glass
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
* Mechanically inclined and strong troubleshooting skills
* Proficient mathematical skills
* Good hand eye coordination
Tools and equipment used to perform the job may include but are not limited to the following pending the employee skill set:
* Ultra-sonic cleaner , pneumatic impact wrenches, hand tools, stamps, measuring tools, die cleaning equipment, drill and tool sharpening machines, computers, overhead cranes, and measurement/inspection equipment.
JOB SUMMARY:
Responsible for operating laser engraving equipment to accurately identify and mark various tools and inserts with correct corresponding identification numbers to ensure tooling controls are in place.
