Network Technician (Level I-III)

The Network Technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, monitoring, troubleshooting, and optimization of broadband network infrastructure supporting video, voice, data, transport, and fiber services.

This position supports Headend operations, network performance, regulatory compliance, and service reliability across the organization's broadband network.

This position may be filled at the Network Technician I, II, or III level.

Placement will be determined based on the selected candidate's experience, technical expertise, certifications, and demonstrated competencies.

Title: Network Technician (Level I-III)

Location: Office located in Maricopa, AZ

Rate (by level):


* Network Technician I: $33.65 – $40.87


* Network Technician II: $40.87 – $48.08


* Network Technician III: $48.08 – $60.10

Full-Time/Part Time: Full-Time

Primary Responsibilities Include:


* Install, operate, maintain, and repair broadband network infrastructure and associated equipment.


* Support delivery of off-air, satellite, microwave, fiber optic, and digital transport services to the network point of demarcation.


* Utilize and maintain optical and electrical transmission systems, including coaxial, fiber optic, CAT6, microwave, and related ISP technologies.


* Troubleshoot communication architectures, network topologies, hardware, software, transmission systems, signaling links, and protocols.


* Perform root cause analysis and resolve network performance and service-impacting issues.


* Configure, support, and maintain network equipment, protocols, and compatibility standards.


* Conduct network testing, signal quality measurements, proof-of-performance testing, and preventative maintenance activities.


* Install, maintain, test, and document Emergency Alert System (EAS) equipment.


* Perform Headend and facility Technical Quality Assurance (TQA) inspections and ensure compliance with company standards for cabling, power, cooling, and equipment installation.


* Maintain FCC-required records, operational logs, testing documentation, and technical records.


* Support network planning, configuration, optimization, and enhancement initiatives.


* Setup, operate, and maintain legacy and current headend equipment, including signal processors, modulators, demodulators, IRDs, and related technologies.


* Participate in on-call rotations and respond to network outages and service-impacting events as required.

Required Qualifications Include:


* Knowledge of RF, IP, HFC, FTTH, DOCSIS, video networking, and broadband technologies.


* Experience using optical test equipment including OTDRs, Optical Spectrum Analyzers, Fiber Light Identifiers, Optical Fiber Scopes, and Optical Power Meters.


* Knowledge of AC/DC power systems, battery backup systems, and standby generators.


* Ability to install and terminate coaxial, fiber optic, CAT6, and related communications cabling.
