Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Registered Dietitian / Dietary Specialist to join our healthcare team.

This role focuses on assessing nutritional needs, ensuring dietary compliance, and supporting the overall health and well-being of residents/patients.
Key Responsibilities


* Meet all health, compliance, and competency requirements


* Attend and participate in daily morning meetings/stand-ups


* Assess nutritional needs, diet restrictions, and health plans to develop individualized dietary care plans


* Provide nutritional counseling to patients/residents as needed


* Monitor food service operations to ensure compliance with:
+ Nutritional standards
+ Safety and sanitation guidelines
+ Quality expectations
+ State and federal regulations


* Oversee food control systems, including:
+ Food temperatures
+ Portion control
+ Preparation methods
+ Food presentation


* Inspect diet trays to ensure compliance with physician-prescribed diets


* Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, dialysis dietitians, and other healthcare professionals


* Maintain positive working relationships with patients, families, and staff

Qualifications


* Registered Dietitian (RD) or eligible (preferred)


* Strong understanding of clinical nutrition and therapeutic diets


* Knowledge of state and federal dietary regulations in healthcare settings


* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills


* Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
