Project Lead

Enersense Engineering is looking for experienced Project Lead to support a major data centre construction project in Helsinki, Finland.

The role will be responsible for leading the overall delivery of complex mission-critical works from design through construction and handover.

Main tasks and responsibilities:


* Lead the overall delivery of a large-scale data centre construction project from inception through to completion


* Manage project cost, schedule, and budget, ensuring effective control throughout all phases


* Oversee and coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and consultants to ensure smooth project execution


* Monitor and control key milestone activities, proactively identifying and mitigating schedule risks


* Review and evaluate construction proposals, pricing submissions, and scopes of work


* Lead client meetings, progress meetings, and other project coordination sessions


* Track, analyse, and report on cost drivers, providing data-driven commercial insights and recommendations


* Manage procurement activities and oversee long-lead equipment planning and delivery schedules


* Review, validate, and audit cost estimates, variations, and commercial submissions from subcontractors and stakeholders


* Ensure compliance with project quality, health, safety, and environmental requirements across all activities


* Coordinate effectively with engineering, construction, and project controls teams to ensure alignment across disciplines


* Support project close-out activities, ensuring all deliverables, documentation, and handover requirements are completed

Requirements:


* Minimum 10 years' experience in construction project delivery or a similar senior role


* Proven experience delivering large-scale construction projects, preferably within data centres or other mission-critical environments


* Strong understanding of construction sequencing, project controls, procurement processes, and project lifecycle management


* Experience managing subcontractors, consultants, and multidisciplinary project teams


* Strong commercial awareness, including cost control, budgeting, and financial reporting


* Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills


* Ability to work effectively under pressure in fast-paced, high-demand project environments


* Strong organisational and time management skills


* Proficiency in MS Office and relevant project management tools


* English language skills
