Your Job

We are currently looking for a Senior RF Engineer to join our Engineering team, ideally based either in Camarillo, CA or Concord, NH.

As a Senior RF Design Engineer, you'll be the technical cornerstone of our RF product development.

Your designs will not only meet exacting performance standards but also push the boundaries of what's possible in high-frequency systems.

You'll guide projects from concept to production, ensuring that every circuit, simulation, and test delivers excellence

Our Team

The Electronic Systems business unit is a segment of Molex's Aerospace & Defense Solutions division.

With primary locations in California, New Hampshire, Pennsylvania USA and Cumbernauld UK, we design and manufacture high performance mission critical electronics:

• Rugged power supply and computing systems in VITA VPX and VNX+ form factors

• RF and Satcom: ADC/DAC digital direct sampling and processing systems

• FPGA accelerated computing platforms featuring AMD and Altera devices in PCIe form factors

• Microelectronics: Custom ruggedised and miniaturised assemblies

Find out about our product range at our website: www.bittware.com.

What You Will Do

• Lead the design and development of advanced RF circuits, subsystems, and modules for applications ranging from wireless communications to radar.

• Perform detailed simulations using ADS, HFSS, and SPICE to optimize performance, minimize losses, and ensure compliance with specifications.

• Translate designs into manufacturable layouts using Altium Designer, collaborating closely with PCB layout engineers to meet RF performance goals.

• Conduct rigorous bench testing, validation, and troubleshooting of prototypes, using state-of-the-art RF test equipment.

• Work cross-functionally with mechanical, digital, and manufacturing teams to ensure seamless integration of RF designs into complete systems.

• Mentor junior engineers, sharing best practices.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

• 10+ years of hands-on experience in RF design, simulation, and testing.

• Expert-level proficiency with Keysight ADS, Ansys HFSS and SIwave simulation tools.

• Proven track record of delivering high-performance RF designs from concept through production.

• Deep understanding of RF principles, including impedance matching, filter design, and electromagnetic compatibility.

• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently on complex technical challenges.

What Will Put You Ahead

• Strong working knowledge of Altium Designer for PCB layout and RF board design.

• Experience of AMD RFSoC or Altera FPGA devices and tools.

• Mil-Spec design practices and compliance (VPX, VNX+ etc).

• Detailed understanding of latest ADC, DAC and clock circuitry from leading suppliers such as TI and ADI.

For this role, we anticipate paying $120,000 - $180,000 per year.

This role is eligible for variable pay, issued as a monetary bonus or in another form.
