EHS Specialist

Join our dynamic team as an EHS Specialist and make a meaningful impact on workplace safety and environmental sustainability!

Location: Zalaegerszeg, Hungary

Your responsibilities


* Monitoring and supporting compliance with occupational health, safety, fire protection, and environmental (EHS) regulations


* Inspect and audit regularly to identify hazards like faulty machinery, unsafe practices, and hazardous materials.


* Performing risk assessments


* Participating in workplace safety inspections and internal/external EHS audits


* Investigating accidents and incidents, and developing preventive and corrective actions


* Tracking regulatory and corporate EHS requirements and ensuring compliance


* Ensuring emergency preparedness and coordinating the emergency response team


* Participating in the preparation of EHS reports, statistics, and KPIs


* Supervising machinery and equipment from a health and safety perspective, coordinating periodic safety inspections, identifying deficiencies, and tracking their resolution


* Supporting environmental protection tasks


* Supporting fire protection activities in cooperation with external service providers

Requirements


* Higher education degree (preferably in occupational safety, environmental protection, or a technical field)


* Occupational safety qualification


* Fire protection qualification is an advantage


* Minimum 5 years of relevant EHS experience in an industrial environment


* Knowledge of ISO standards (45001, 14001)


* Precise, independent working style with strong problem-solving skills


* Confident English communication skills, both written and spoken
