Building Automation Service Specialist

Schneider Electric is looking for a Building Automation Systems Technician in the Morrisville, NC area.

For this position is typically held by someone who has at least 2 years' experience in building automation.

The individual's experience may be limited as is their exposure to our specific business.

For this position is responsible for learning how to understand project/ service requirements such as specifications, standards, schedules, and safety.

Participates in project/service activities on site related to the coordination, installation, and commissioning of building automation and security management systems.

This employee typically works under daily supervision of a Project Manager or Project Engineer and reports to the Construction Manager or Operations Manager

Responsibilities Include


* Technician must be able to work on his/her own and/or with others when needed


* Be customer-friendly, knowledgeable, and reliable


* Familiar with Package units, split systems, RTU's, and mini splits


* Familiar with electrical and mechanical diagnostic skills


* Familiar with troubleshooting and diagnosing issues


* Experience with performing a thorough and accurate HVAC inspection


* Ability to communicate with the team and with customers


* Must comply with all safety standards and processes


* Must be able to climb ladders and work in close spaces

Qualifications:



* 2-year technical degree or equivalent work experience servicing electronic and or mechanical systems EPA Section 608 Technician Certification


* Electrical troubleshooting knowledge


* Must be highly organized and possess the ability to work in a high paced environment with the ability to prioritize tasks to meet the schedules given by the leadership


* Demonstrate the ability to operate independently and autonomously and take ownership of all tasks.


* Excellent oral and written communication skills and team oriented


* Proficiency with writing code for controller sequence of operations


* Proficiency with integration protocols (BACnet, LonWorks, Modbus, etc)

For this U.S.

based position, the expected pay range is USD 54,400 - USD 81,600 per year.

This pay range includes base pay and short-term incentives.

The compensation range for this full-time position applies to candidates located within the United States.
