Software Engineer Manager, Tax Analysis & Debt Investments (TARDI)

You'll join Deloitte Tax LLP's National Federal Tax Services practice as a Manager supporting the Tax Analysis & Information Reporting for Debt Investments (TARDI) team.

In this role, you will help shape and deliver data-driven, web-based applications that support complex tax planning, reporting, and compliance needs for large fixed income investment portfolios.

Working at the intersection of business and technology, you will translate complex stakeholder needs into clear product priorities, actionable requirements, and successful delivery outcomes.

This role is well suited for a technically grounded product owner and project manager who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment and enjoys leading cross-functional teams across onshore and offshore delivery models.

Work you'll do

As a Manager on the National Federal Tax Services - TARDI team, you will be responsible for:


* Partnering with business stakeholders and engineering teams to translate tax, financial, and operational requirements into user stories, acceptance criteria, functional specifications, and delivery plans


* Owning and managing the product backlog, including prioritization, refinement, and roadmap alignment to support delivery of the highest-value features


* Leading Agile delivery activities across sprint planning, backlog grooming, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives to support consistent execution and continuous improvement


* Managing project plans, delivery milestones, risks, dependencies, and status reporting across onshore and offshore team members


* Supporting testing, defect triage, release readiness, documentation, and adoption of enterprise tools and processes while mentoring junior team members and interns
