What is the role?

For our Brossard, Québec Plant, we are looking for a Mechanical Designer Reporting to the Mechanical Engineering Supervisor, the selected candidate will work closely with the engineering team on various electrical power distribution projects aimed at measuring, controlling, and protecting equipment.

This role stands out for its dynamic nature and wide variety of challenges.

Main responsibilities are:


* Design and develop 3D mechanical assemblies and components to customize Schneider solutions according to customer specifications.


* Ensure all designs meet applicable industry standards, including CSA, UL, ANSI, ISO, and other relevant certifications.


* Generate high-quality 2D drawings and prepare complete Bills of Materials (BOMs) within required project timelines.


* Provide hands-on technical support to the assembly line, addressing questions and resolving issues to maintain smooth production workflows.


* Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including Engineering, Quality, and Supply Chain to ensure product excellence and on-time delivery.
